Treats: French Hard Candy

These French cherry candies are a simple pleasure (but one to adore) especially around Valentines Day in February when red is on our minds and cherry pies abound.  Lately I have been thinking about how art is infused with the senses, how what we see, taste, touch and hear can influence us creatively.  So I decided to treat myself to something special with a decided sweetness.  But instead of just a candy binge this is going to be a creative experience for me.  I am going to enjoy them as I work, and think about how the flavor can inspire me.  This is a delicious, inexpensive way to nurture the soul and the heart, a special treat for the week.
